Brian Scarbeau Insights from a seasoned Computer Science Trainer

Joe Healy from Microsoft saw an opportunity to have a local event in Orlando, FL during the weekend of Tech Ed. This event is going to be big! It's being held at the Orlando Convention Center near the airport and all the local attractions. It's jam packed with technology events in just 2 days and best of all it's FREE.

Joe asked me to head up the DotNetNuke track for Sunday, June 8th and I was able to get some great local speakers for the event. Mike Webb from volunteered to host the DotNetNuke track on his website and to get sponsors for the event so that we could get speakers from the DotNetNuke Corp.

All of a sudden, DotNetNuke Corporation is interested in the event. Very interested because they wanted to call the event DotNetNuke OpenForce Connect host it on their site and handle all the registrations for it. They will be speaking at the event as well. It doesn't get any better than this!

DotNetNuke OpenForce Connect is a new series of local OpenForce events that are being created and hosted by our local DotNetNuke user groups. As we move forward we plan to work with more local user groups and community members to help provide support local events in the spirit of Code Camps, BarCamps and Day of .Net events.  Stay tuned for more information on how you can have your own OpenForce Connect event in your town.  Meanwhile, take advantage of the inaugural Connect event in Orlando that coincides with the weekend in between the Tech-Ed Developers and Tech-Ed IT Professionals events.
